Invitation to Workshop on Low kV HR and HC Transmission Electron Microscope (Hitachi HT7700 TEM)

We are happy to invite you and your colleagues to participate in a two-day workshop on Low kV HR and HC Transmission Electron Microscope, to be held on 2nd to 3rd of October 2018 at Blok T03, UIRL, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru Campus.
In almost all fields of modern science and technology the demands on high resolution imaging on delicate nanomaterials are becoming ever more challenging. The Hitachi HT7700 TEM with exalens was designed with groundbreaking features which ensure usability across the broadest possible range of application fields, from the main application area of biomedical to nanotechnology and soft carbon based materials.
The main topics covered in this workshop include:
1) TEM operating principle and TEM imaging, diffraction and analysis capabilities.
2) Dual-mode objective lens – High resolution (HR) and High Contrast (HC)
3) Introduction to electron diffraction and EDS analysis
4) Demonstration of the low-kV TEM and sample discussions
