UIRL003 UIRL GENERAL INFORMATION What are the operating hours for UIRL and the Sample Acceptance Counter? UIRL generally operates during standard UTM working hours. However, please contact the UIRL Counter before visiting during public holidays or semester breaks.

The UIRL Sample Acceptance Counter operates from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The counter is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays.

UIRL092 UIRL SAFETY Who needs to complete the Safety Declaration Form? The Safety Declaration Form must be completed by all visitors, students, researchers, staff, or external users who are required to enter a UIRL laboratory.

Customers who are only submitting samples at the UIRL Sample Acceptance Counter and do not enter the laboratory are not required to complete the Safety Declaration Form.

Does not meet the UIRL Sample Submission Criteria.
Is not ready for analysis.
Poses a risk to laboratory personnel or the laboratory environment.
May damage laboratory instruments during analysis.
Does not comply with UIRL laboratory policies and safety requirements.

Customers are encouraged to consult the person in charge of the relevant instrument if they are unsure whether their sample is suitable for analysis.

UIRL098 UIRL POLICIES What should I do if I need to cancel my analysis request? If you need to cancel your analysis request, please inform the person in charge of the relevant instrument as soon as possible.

Cancellation requests are subject to the current status of the analysis. If the analysis has not yet started, the request may be cancelled. However, if sample preparation or analysis has already commenced, cancellation may not be possible and the applicable charges may still apply.
